Sautéed & Buttered Cabbage

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ medium cabbage roughly 2 cups of cabbage when thinly sliced
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp chili powder

Equipment

  • 1 medium sauté or fry pan
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 chopping knife
  • 1 spoon or spatula

Method
 

  1. De-core cabbage and discard/compost the core. Thinly slice the remaining cabbage.
  2. Add butter to sauté pan and melt over medium heat.
  3. Once butter has melted, add cabbage, salt, pepper, and paprika and stir so cabbage is evenly covered with seasonings and butter.
  4. Sauté for 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally (every 2-3 minutes to prevent sticking to pan).
  5. Serve warm as a side.
